Description

The Sophia top is a women’s sewing pattern for the advanced beginner / intermediate sewist. The Sophia top is a feminine design, featuring a cowl front that drapes over a fitted camisole. The attached cami layer has a horizontal neckline that can be trimmed with lace. Made from stretch knit fabric, the pattern offers three options – a sleeveless, a 3/4 length sleeve or a long sleeve. The soft elegant drapes of the cowl make the Sophia top look and feel fabulous to wear. A simple yet flattering design that can be made casual or dressy depending on your fabric choice.

The nursing option for the attached cami layer will make feeding your bub a breeze, while you still look stylish in your Sophia top. There are extra 2 pdf files included to make this a nursing friendly top – a vertical nursing option and a horizontal nursing option.

Suggested Fabrics

Lightweight cotton lycra, polyester/spandex blends, rayon/spandex blends, viscose lycra, modal/spandex. Any soft stretch fabric that will give a lovely soft drape to the cowl front. A heavier stretch knit fabric can be used for the cami layer.

Lace – at least 6cm / 2 1/2” wide (optional)
Elastic – 6mm / 1/4” lightweight or clear elastic
Elastic – 19mm for under-bust of horizontal nursing option
Cotton stay tape – 5mm wide
